Here are the results of our last Christmas competition

It all began in ‘82
My Little Pony – a dream come true,
Six little ponies with soft silky hair,
So beautiful and colourful that nothing compared.
Then their universe began to expand,
There were Unicorns and Pegasus in Pony land!
Firefly, Glory, Skyflier and Medley,
Moondancer, Powder, Twilight and Gusty.
There followed rainbows and babies and twinkly eyes,
And small flutter ponies at one with the skies.
Sea ponies, so softs and strapping big brothers,
My Little Pony – a toy like no other.
Bonnie and Hasbro were a great combination
And for years ‘pony fever’ swept through the nations.
The U.K, America, France and Peru,
Brazil, Spain and Italy – the Netherlands too.
Then we fast forward to ’97,
Hasbro attempted to revive our ‘pony heaven’
But smaller and stranger and a whole lot slimmer,
They realised that they weren’t onto a winner.
So in ’03 they tried again,
With ponies that weren’t quite so lame,
Cute and endearing with sparkly hair,
But the old pony magic just wasn’t there.
In 2010 they were made over again,
Ponies are back and long may they rein!
Six little ponies – just like before
Every bit as beloved as the six from before
Fluttershy like Posey – bashful and mild,
Rainbow just like Firefly – headstrong and wild,
Rarity like Sparkler, both with stunning looks,
Twilight Sparkle just like Twilight –clever, with a love for books.
Pinkie the party pony just like old Surprise,
And it’s the same old classic Applejack in all of our eyes.
It’s been thirty long years of friendship and fun,
Seeing what they all were – and what they’ve become.
Smiling and loving every single minute -
The World of My Little Pony, and everything in it.
